The Human Body Systems

The organism of a human contains many systems working together to keep it alive.

A system is a group of specialised organs working together; an organ is a group of specialised tissues; a tissue is a group of specialised cells. Special hey!?!

There are key conditions that are required for the body to continue to function correctly - this correct functioning is called 'homeostasis'.

We will be studying how homeostasis is maintained by exploring 5 of our Human Body systems:

Nervous system
Digestive system
Endocrine system
Excretory system
Immune system

Assessment will be made each week as you complete set class system specific tasks, two short tests, a research task and participation in a researched discussion.
